Iron Man 3

is an upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Iron Man, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed byWalt Disney Pictures.1 It will be the sequel to Iron Man (2008) and Iron Man 2 (2010) and will be the seventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being the first major release in that franchise since the crossover film The Avengers (2012). Shane Black is set to direct a screenplay by himself and Drew Pearce, which will be based on the "Extremis" story arc by Warren EllisJon Favreau, who directed the first two films, serves asexecutive producer along with Kevin Feige.Robert Downey, Jr. reprises his role as Tony Stark, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle reprising their roles as Pepper Potts and James Rhodes respectively.

Marvel Studios' presence at Comic-Con has always been a highlight every single year and once again, they were back in full force, closing off Saturday night in Hall H with their (mostly) annual panel. The big movie this year of course isIron Man 3, reuniting the cast of Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow, this time directed by Shane Black.

ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype attended the press conference (which we'll be writing up soon) and then afterwards we took part in the craziest press line we've ever experienced as Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle and director Shane Black quickly popped into the room to field a couple questions each.

(Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was also there, paired with Black, but he was perfectly fine letting his director handle the questions. It's also worth nothing that our question to RDJ was interrupted by a gag played by Zach Galifianakis, who was in the same room pimping Jay Roach's comedy The Campaign, and that's when the press line pretty much collapsed as RDJ got mobbed by the waiting press who were hoping to get a question in themselves.)
